Navigate Back and Forth: Achieving Survey-Like Navigation Simplicity for AI-Moderated Interviews

A more seamless interview process without sacrificing data quality

During an interview, respondents sometimes want to re-read a question, double-check an answer, or correct a response they feel unsure about. This was obvious for a survey-flow type, but very tricky for an AI moderated interview.

Glaut now allows respondents to move back and forth within the interview, making the experience more natural and less stressful, especially in longer or more complex studies.

What’s new

Respondents can now go back to earlier questions to review or change their answers before finishing the interview.

Allowing controlled back-and-forth navigation:

  • reduces accidental errors,
  • increases respondent confidence,
  • and leads to more considered, accurate responses.

This reflects how people naturally think and respond, especially when questions build on each other or call for reflection.
